Instrument

The Elemental Soundscapes Sansula Aqua is a finely tuned kalimba with a unique combination of high-quality materials. The kalimba reeds are attached to a cherry wood block and are surrounded by an oval beech wood frame. The membrane consists of a Remo drumhead, which provides a special sound and also makes this sansula indestructible.

The Sansula Aqua is 100% made in Germany and impresses not only with its sound characteristics, but also with its haptically appealing oval body shape.

Playing style

The Sansula Aqua is played by holding it in both hands and plucking it with the thumbs. Alternatively, it can also be placed on the table and played with all fingers. For more volume, the Sansula can be placed on the lap or on a soft surface.

A special feature of the Sansula Aqua is the wah-wah vibrator effect, which is created when the instrument is raised and lowered at different speeds. This creates spherical sounds that make the sound of the Sansula even more versatile.

To make two notes sound directly one after the other, you can simply slide your fingers over both manuals. This creates a fascinating effect and opens up new creative possibilities when playing.

Our ElementalSoundscapes are not just sets of sound instruments, but a unique concept in cooperation with several European instrument makers and our US partner "We play well together". Together with them, we at feeltone have set ourselves a goal: to bring together intuitively playable instruments in such a way that they sound good together even without a lot of trial and error or knowledge of sheet music.
